> Glass Façade
> Tension Cable Structure
The terminal building is approximately 1 km long and shaped as an aeroplane wing. The 84 individual glazed façades along the terminal, the so-called “teardrops”, and the 2 sloped cable walls at either end of the building, are point fixed glazed. The basis of every glass façade is a network structure of vertical and horizontal steel tension rods (vertical: 12 mm, horizontal: 24 mm). The glazed façades are closed at the bottom with a lattice girder that acts as a spring in the structure.
Scope of Work
35,000 sqm (376,700 sq ft) of glazed tension rod system.
