Earthquake Engineering by the Beach II Un convegno sul rischio sismico nelle infrastrutture civili A Workshop on Seismic Risk of Civil Infrastructures Villa Orlandi, Anacapri, Italy – June 8-10, 2013 The Workshop The theme of the workshop is Seismic Risk of Civil Infrastructures. Conferences are increasingly becoming events attended by hundreds, when not thousands of people. The usefulness of these events is questionable, in most cases. The underlying idea of this workshop is that by limiting the number of presenters and extending the presentation time, each researcher should be allowed to present research relating to the workshop theme without having to rush between parallel sessions and receiving critical attention and constructive comments from colleagues. During each session at most five presentations will be given and there will be plenty of time for questions and discussions, in between presentations, as well as at the end of the session itself. Program TBD Proceedings There will be no proceedings except power point presentations; however, a special issue of Computer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering will be on the topics of the workshop.
